This is the amount of hair I got off of Bear when I was brushing him. He is now back with his original owner. He ended up getting a tooth infection and having to go to the Vet. He was quite sick. His back legs are not too good either.
Being such a large dog and it seems he was not breed too carefully as he had a really pronounced over bite. Just got a call, Bear died. He was brought back to the people that were watching him and died this morning. Maybe its a blessing. He could walk only with great difficulty and I think being bounced all over didn't help. Sometimes life is not fair to man or animal. Big dogs don't live very long in the best of coniditions and when improper breeding is a factor their life span is even shorter. We lost our first springer that way and it is a real heartbreaker. Well Bear, you are now whole again and running over the Rainbow Bridge to green grass and cool water. Farewell, my friend.
